Discover Cilento: what to see, what to visit and what to do
An amazing land
Cilento takes its name from its geographical location, which is described as “Cis Alentum” or “on this side of the Alento,” the river that marks its boundary. It is the southernmost area of Campania, stretching from Palinuro to Sapri, overlooking 2 gulfs (the Salerno one and the Policastro one) and is surrounded by the Monti Alburni to the north and by the Vallo di Diano to the east. Right here, in an area full of surprises, there are some of the most beautiful and striking places in the region, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
